Athletes, who think they have what it takes to play overseas, may want to make a stop in the Atlanta University Center (AUC).

For the past two months, five basketball agents have been holding workouts at Morehouse College (MC) every Sunday morning.

The agents, who are a part of the management, One True Talent, scout athletes who think they have the potential to play basketball on the professional level.

"Our goal is to get players overseas or to the NBDL (National Basketball Developmental League) and get them contracts," said Tony Wyzzard, an agent, who conducts the workouts and rates athletes during drills. "We look for talent," Wyzzard said.

During the workout, 20 athletes, including two students from the AUC, showed up to display their talents.

"I wanted to get back in basketball shape and showcase my skills in more then one sport," Donavon Vaughn said, a member of Clark Atlanta's football team.

After 15 minutes of stretching, the athletes were rated on their dribbling, passing, shooting and teamwork skills. According to agents, about half of them were capable of playing overseas.

"Its talent in here, I'm ready to see who's going to put their best foot forward," Shawn Reed said, an agent.

Josh Burrow, a sophomore at MC, was also present at the workout.

Although Burrow is not a member of the MC men's basketball team, he attended the workout to network for opportunities.

"I want to get better on my ball handling skills and land something overseas after college," Burrow said, a native of Baltimore.

According to the agents, there are many opportunities for athletes who think they have what it takes to compete on the next level.

"There are a million places players can go overseas, including places like China," Kule Morris said, an agent.
